Based in Montgomery County, PA, Moments By Max is a premier full-service luxury balloon and event décor company serving Philadelphia, NJ, NY, DE, and all the shore points. We pride ourselves on our ability to transform any event with our stunning balloon décor, from classic arrangements to intricate balloon sculptures. As we continue to expand, we also offer a diverse range of event décor rentals including marquee letters and numbers, custom backdrops, inflatables, flower walls, and much more. Though we officially launched just before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, my journey in the balloon and events industry spans over a decade. My background in Tourism and Hospitality Management, with a concentration in Event Management from Johnson & Wales University, set the stage for my career.
My passion for balloon started in childhood. This was sparked by trips to the balloon store with my mom. While other kids wanted the latest action figures, I found joy in selecting new balloons to add to my collection—slowly filled the walls of my childhood home. My early fascination with balloons only deepened as I became more knowledgeable at identifying balloons brands like Qualatex- memorizing the colors and different types of balloons they offered.
Life presented challenges, and I stepped into responsibilities at a young age to help care for my mom, who faced health issues. As priorities shifted, my passion for balloons lessoned but ultimately found its way back to me. In 2015, a longing for the carefree days of my youth drew me back in; I immersed myself in YouTube tutorials that rekindled my love for balloon artistry.
In 2018, I began crafting balloon designs, slowly mastering my skills. The real turning point came just before the pandemic when I decorated balloons for my best friend’s baby shower. The positive response fueled my desire to pursue this path, and through collaboration with an event planner, I secured my first paid gigs.
When COVID-19 led to the loss of my hospitality job, I made the decision to turn my passion into a full-fledged business. I built my own website, developed a logo, and created marketing materials. As word spread, my bookings grew, and soon I found myself busy almost every weekday and weekend, laying the groundwork for Moments By Max.
Today, I lead a talented team of over five employees, and we’re proud to have collaborated with notable companies such as Comcast, Sephora, Dunkin’, and Amazon. It’s incredible to reflect on how far I've come—from a child enamored with balloons to the owner of a successful event décor company.
I owe everything to my parents’ unwavering support and encouragement. My mom, who inspired my love for balloons, passed away in January 2024. While her absence is profoundly felt, I carry her spirit with me, using my work to honor her memory. Every event we create is dedicated to her, reminding me of the beautiful journey that began with a simple balloon.
